When it comes to schooling, Kai attended the Frederick Douglass Academy for his secondary education. He graduated from High school in the year 2019. After graduating high school, he enrolled into college and attended the State University of New York at Morrisville where he got into studying Business Administration. However, he dropped out of college soon after because he wanted to focus on content creation, as managing schoolwork with content creation was becoming increasingly difficult for him.

Kai Cenat, whose full name is Kai Carlo Cenat III, made his YouTube debut on 13th January, 2018 and gradually started making videos on pranks and other comedic stuff. He joined the YouTube AMP (Any Means Possible) after he was discovered by fellow Youtuber Fanum, who was also born in the Bronx. From then on, he was often seen appearing in the videos of that channel. He started his Twitch career after he started steaming there from 2021. He used to post his gaming content on YouTube as well but then migrated to Twitch.
Apart from online work, he has also had a significant presence in other projects as well. He had a small acting role in Polo G’s single Distraction, which came out in 2022. Kai Cenat also made his musical debut with the release of his single, Bust down Rollie Avalanche in May 2022 by collaborating with NLE Choppa.
